Jammu: Heavy exchange of fire took place between India and Pakistan on Friday on the line of control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

"Pakistan army resorted to unprovoked shelling and firing on the LoC in Sauji yan area of Poonch district at 3.30 a.m. today (Friday)," defence spokesman Colonel Manish Mehta told IANS in Jammu.
