The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC) has launched a new pilgrimage circuit called the “Divine East Temple Tour” on its Bharat Gaurav Deluxe Tourist Train.
The 10-day rail tour covers major religious and heritage sites across Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand, an official statement said on Sunday.
The tour will start from Delhi Safdarjung and include visits to Varanasi, Kolkata, Gangasagar, Puri, Bhubaneswar, Konark, Chilika and Baidyanath Dham. The trip will conclude back in Delhi on March 18, 2026, it said.
Highlights of the pilgrimage circuit
Key attractions of the tour include:
- Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the Ganga Aarti in Varanasi
- Major temples and landmarks in Kolkata such as Victoria Memorial, Kali Ghat, and Dakshineshwar Kali Mandir
- A day excursion to Gangasagar, including a holy dip at the Sagar Sangam and darshan at Kapil Muni Temple
- Shri Jagannath Temple in Puri
- Odisha heritage circuit including Dhauli Shanti Stupa, Udayagiri and Khandagiri Caves
- The Konark Sun Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
- Final spiritual destination at Baidyanath Dham (Deoghar), one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva

The Bharat Gaurav Deluxe Tourist Train offers modern amenities and a comfortable travel experience. Passengers can choose from AC cabins in 1AC, 2AC and 3AC categories. The package includes vegetarian meals, AC transfers, hotel accommodation and the support of IRCTC tour managers.

IRCTC has priced the tour as follows:
1AC: Rs 1,06,940 per person
2AC: Rs 98,925 per person
3AC: Rs 79,285 per person
The package includes train travel, hotel accommodation, meals (vegetarian), sightseeing in AC vehicles, travel insurance and tour manager services. Bookings are open on IRCTC’s tourism portal and through authorised IRCTC offices.
