In its efforts to speed up the redevelopment work of cessed Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) buildings, the Mumbai Repair and Reconstruction Board (MRRB) has started organising janta darbars near dilapidated buildings. This initiative by MHADA will help residents get faster replies to their queries concerning the redevelopment activity.

Speaking to MiD DAY, chairman of MRRB Prasad Lad said, “Our experience tells us that people staying in various cessed buildings in Mumbai have issues related to the redevelopment plan or the condition of the building. We’ve started setting up janta darbars so that these people can ask us their questions directly.”
