<div><b><span style="font-size: 12pt; ">The 50-yr-old attacked the victim, whose car had brushed against his while taking a U-turn</span></b></div><div><br /></div><div><div>In an incident of road rage, a 50-year-old journalist, working with a prominent web-newspaper, was arrested in the Capital for shooting at a man after the victim's car had brushed against his on Wednesday.u00a0According to the police, Arun Kumar Pandey was arrested from Vasant Kunj in south Delhi for firing at Jagbir Singh (60), who miraculously escaped as the bullet hit his belt buckle.u00a0</div><div><br /></div><div>Police said that Singh's Maruti Esteem car, while trying to take a u-turn near Church Road in Vasant Kunj area, brushed against Pandey's Hyundai i-10 car, who was on his way to Andheria Mor. Pandey is a resident of Raj Nagar in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.</div><div><br /></div><div>"Pandey, Singh, and his two relatives who were also in the car, entered into an altercation on the crowded road. In a fit of rage, Pandey fired twice in the air and once at Singh with his licensed automatic pistol. We received a call and a police van soon reached there," a senior police official.</div><div><br /></div><div>The official said, on arrival they saw Pandey standing next to his car. He informed the police team that he has fired thrice in the air to save himself from being physically assaulted by Singh and his relatives. He surrendered himself along with the licensed pistol.u00a0</div><div><br /></div><div>Police said Singh, a resident of Gurgaon, during investigation told that he had come to Vasant Kunj for his daughter's pre-wedding ceremony and while taking a U-turn, his car brushed against Pandey's, following which, an altercation and firing from Pandey's side took place.u00a0</div><div><br /></div><div>He further informed that Pandey aimed at him but he was saved by his belt's buckle. Out of fear he left from the spot immediately.u00a0Police have found evidence that shows the bullet hit Singh's belt buckle, which has a dent mark on it.u00a0</div></div>
