The Hyderabad-headquartered Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) said on Friday that it would take out a march in Maharashtra's Parbhani on August 22 to demand an annual aid of Rs 10,000 per acre for farmers in the western state, according to the PTI.

The demand is based on the recommendation made in a report by Sunil Kendrekar, former divisional commissioner of the Marathwada region in Maharashtra that comprises eight districts, including Parbhani, said BRS' 'kisan' cell state head Manik Kadam, reported the PTI.
