Lahoria's murder case: SC rejects Suresh Bijlani's anticipatory bail application

The apex court yesterday rejected the anticipatory bail plea of developer Suresh Bijlani, who has gone underground fearing arrest; his lawyers say they will file for bail again once chargesheet is submitted
The Supreme Court yesterday dismissed the anticipatory bail plea of Navi Mumbai-based builder Jawahar Chelaram Bijlani alias Suresh who is the absconding accused in the sensational broad daylight killing of developer Sunil Lahoria. Bijlani and his brother Mahesh are both wanted for their alleged involvement in Lahoria’s murder that took place on February 16 in Navi Mumbai.u00a0

The counsel — some of the topmost lawyers from the city — representing Bijlani had filed two separate pleas in the apex court; a special leave petition and criminal miscellaneous petition. A division bench of Justice BS Chauhan and Dipak Misra, however, rejected both the pleas.
