Lucknow: A police constable today committed suicide by shooting himself in Baghpat district, police sources said here. Ravindra Kumar (46) shot himself with a country-made pistol in a field in village Junamana in Badaut area of Baghpat, they said.

The constable was posted at Shamli Police Lines and was absent from duty since yesterday. Police said that he was depressed due to his bad health.
