Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra: A violent clash broke out late at night in Ghodegaon, Nevasa taluka, due to an old rivalry between two groups. In the firing, Nitin Vilas Shirsath (33) died, while Suraj Fulmali (23) from the rival group was seriously injured

The victim was identified as Nitin Vilas Shirsath, while Suraj Fulmali (23) from the rival group, sustained grievous injuries and is undergoing treatment.
Ahilyanagar Police say old dispute led to firing
Superintendent of Police Somnath Gharge told IANS: "This evening in Goregaon, which is a town area, an incident occurred at a hospital involving Nitin Shirsath and another person, Suraj Fulmali. They had a dispute with each other during which one side opened fire. Nitin died, and Suraj is injured. Police is investigating. The primary information that we have got is that they had a fight with each other due to some old issues. And one of them fired at the other."
Police have registered a case under relevant sections and launched a probe to identify all involved parties and gather evidence. Authorities have assured strict action against those responsible. Further details are awaited.
