After appearing for the Maharashtra HSC examinations, students are enthusiastically waiting to get their results. The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education conducts SSC Exams through the nine Divisional Boards of Maharashtra State. These branches are located at Pune, Mumbai, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Nasik, Amravati, Nagpur, Latur and Ratnagiri.

The Maharashtra Board conducts the HSC examination twice every year and the number of students appearing for the HSC main examination is approximately 14 lakh. The statistics of the last year reveal that the HSC 2015 exams were conducted by the MSBSHSE from 21 February - 23 March, 2015. Total 13, 39,202 students appeared for Maharashtra HSC 2015. While in 2014, total 13,37,114 students had appeared for the Maharashtra HSC examination 2014. Out of which 4,50,176 had appeared for the science stream, 4,66,723 from the arts stream, 3,62,705 from the commerce stream. Meanwhile, approximately 54,347 students had appeared from the vocational stream.
