Maharashtra bypolls: Voting begins in Baramati and Rahuri constituency

Voting for Baramati and Rahuri assembly bypolls in Maharashtra began at 7 am on Thursday. Deputy CM Sunetra Pawar seeks support amid a sympathy wave following Ajit Pawar’s death, while key candidates battle it out in both constituencies

Voting is now underway on Thursday morning in the Baramati and Rahuri assembly bypolls in Maharashtra. As reported by news agency PTI, elections for the Baramatai seat in Maharashtra began at 7:00 am and will conclude at 6 pm, an election official said.

Riding a sympathy wave, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar, who is contesting from Baramati, has urged voters to support her as a tribute to her late husband Ajit Pawar.
