Jalna Superintendent of Police Teghbir Singh Sandhu has directed police personnel across the district to make Ganesh mandals aware of the need to organise DJ-free immersion processions

Police in Maharashtra’s Jalna district have urged Ganesh mandals to avoid using high-powered sound systems, commonly referred to as DJs, during idol immersion processions, reported the PTI.

The police have warned that legal action will be taken against mandals that violate noise pollution rules, officials said on Friday.
