The Maharashtra government has issued transfer orders for Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh, appointing him as the new Commissioner of the Nashik Kumbh Mela.
According to a notification issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), Government of Maharashtra, dated October 7, 2025, Shekhar Singh has been directed to immediately hand over his current charge to Shrawan Hardikar, Managing Director of MahaMetro Rail Corporation Ltd. Hardikar will take over as the new Commissioner of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC).
The government order instructs Singh to report to his new posting in Nashik without delay.
The letter has also been circulated to the Chief Secretary’s Office, Urban Development Department, and other relevant administrative authorities for necessary action.
This reshuffle comes as part of the state’s latest round of senior administrative transfers.

Sanjay Kolte, Managing Director of Shivshahi Rehabilitation Project, Mumbai, has been appointed as Sugar Commissioner, Pune, to the vacant post.
Manoj Jindal, Joint Managing Director of the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation, Mumbai, has been appointed as District Collector of Ratnagiri.
