A private chopper carrying six persons, including two pilots, made an emergency landing near a village in Maharashtra's Pune district due to poor visibility as a result of fog, police said on Tuesday, reported the PTI.
The incident occurred on August 15 and the helicopter took off again in 15 minutes, they said.
The chopper belonging to a city-based builder was flying to Mumbai when the pilots were forced to land it on a roadside near Saltar village in Mulshi tehsil around 3 pm, an official from Pune rural police said, as per the PTI.
"As per the information received from the local people and the village Police Patil (a village-level law enforcement officer), the helicopter with two pilots and four passengers on board made an emergency landing due to fog. It took off again within 15 minutes," he said.
No one was injured in the incident, the official added, the news agency reported.

As Mumbai records heavy rainfall for the fourth consecutive day, disrupting normal life, the flight operations at Mumbai Airport have been affected. According to information received by mid-day.com, the airport has reported 11 go-arounds since early Tuesday morning, three of which were repeated due to low visibility at the airport.
The airport reported as many as seven diversions on Tuesday.
Airlines have again issued advisories to inform passengers about the potential delays.
An Indigo statement on X read, “Persistent rainfall and thunderstorms are affecting Mumbai, causing possible flight delays. Our teams are closely monitoring the situation to resume operations as soon as conditions improve. Travellers are advised to check flight status on our website or app and allow extra travel time due to slow road conditions. We appreciate your patience and understanding; your safety remains our top priority.”
