Maharashtra weather update: Orange alert for Vidarbha as IMD warns of thunderstorms, heavy rain from July 2

According to the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Nagpur, the southwest monsoon remains active and normal over Vidarbha, bringing fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall across the region. The IMD said favourable conditions continue for the monsoon to advance further into parts of the North Arabian Sea

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday issued an orange alert for parts of Vidarbha, warning of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, gusty winds, and isolated heavy rainfall over the next few days, with weather activity expected to intensify from July 2 onwards.

According to the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Nagpur, the southwest monsoon remains active and normal over Vidarbha, bringing fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall across the region.
