Maharashtra set to get first women-only engineering college

New Delhi: An engineering college exclusively for women to be set up in Maharashtra has got approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), union Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani said Wednesday.
"According to the information furnished by the All India Council for Technical Education, it has approved one women's engineering college during the academic year 2014-15 in the name of 'New Horizon Institute of Technology and Management'," she said in a written reply in the Lok Sabha.
