In a major step towards ensuring the smooth, efficient and world-class organisation of the Simhastha Kumbh Mela 2027 at Nashik–Trimbakeshwar, the Maharashtra State Skill Development Society (MSSDS) has approved the Kumbh Skilling Project, under which 4,300 local youth will receive industry-oriented skill training.

The initiative aims to prepare a skilled workforce for one of the world's largest religious gatherings while creating long-term employment and self-employment opportunities for local residents.
