Two injured as car driven by 14-year-old boy rams into motorbikes in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Two persons were injured after a car driven by a 14-year-old boy crashed into their motorbikes in Maharashtra's Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar city, police said on Thursday, reported the PTI.

The incident took place around 5 pm on Wednesday near Salim Ali Sarovar and the boy then ran away from the spot leaving his vehicle behind, an official said.


The police later arrested the boy's father for allowing the minor to drive the four-wheeler and registered a case against him under the Motor Vehicles Act, he said.
A video clip of the incident also surfaced on social media, according to the PTI.



The car hit the two motorbikes on a road connecting Uddhavrao Patil Chowk to the Homeguard office in the city and also rammed into an electric pole.

The two motorbike riders, Gajanan Talekar and Sanjay Kamil, were injured. Talekar suffered a leg fracture in the incident, the official said.

An electric pole was also damaged in the incident and power supply in the area was disrupted for nearly two hours, a power department official said, as per the PTI.

Two buses collide in Latur; 2 dead, 11 injured

In an another incident, at least two persons were killed and 11 injured on Thursday after two buses collided in Maharashtra's Latur district, a police official said, reported the PTI.

The incident took place on Tuljapur-Latur highway at 5am near Ujni in Ausa tehsil, Assistant Inspector Mahavir Jadhav said.

"Two buses belonging to travel agencies were involved in the accident. The cleaner of one of the buses and a passenger died. They have been identified as Namdev Suryawanshi (40) and Nitin Devarse (35). The impact caused one of the buses to overturn, injuring 11 passengers from both vehicles," he said, according to the PTI.

The injured were shifted to Vilasrao Deshmukh Government Medical Hospital, he said, adding none of them are critical, the news agency reported on Thursday.

Meanwhile, a woman and her two-year-old son were killed when a dumper truck hit their motorcycle in Bhilwara district of Rajasthan, police said.

The woman's husband was injured in the incident that occurred on Wednesday evening, they said, reported the PTI.
