Maharashtra weather: Amravati sizzles at 39 degrees Celsius, hottest in state

Amravati recorded Maharashtra’s highest maximum temperature at 39 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, making it the hottest place in the state, according to the India Meteorological Department's latest Maharashtra weather update. The temperature was 6.4 degrees Celsius above normal for the city.

Yavatmal, Akola among hottest places

Yavatmal recorded the second-highest maximum temperature at 38.2 degrees Celsius, followed by Akola at 37.9 degrees Celsius. Jalgaon and Solapur recorded 37.6 degrees Celsius each, while Wardha touched 37.6 degrees Celsius and Chandrapur recorded 37.2 degrees Celsius.
