Monsoon remains active in Maharashtra: IMD forecasts continued showers over Mumbai; Mahabaleshwar records highest rainfall

Mahabaleshwar recorded the highest rainfall at 21 mm during the 24-hour period ending at 8.30 am. Mumbai followed with 19 mm, while Dahanu and Parbhani received 15 mm each. Alibag and Ratnagiri recorded 11 mm each, Santacruz 10 mm, Gondia 8 mm, Beed 6 mm, and Jalgaon and Nagpur 4 mm each

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday forecast cloudy skies with intermittent rainfall over Mumbai and its neighbouring districts over the coming days, even as several parts of Maharashtra recorded light to moderate showers during the past 24 hours.

According to the latest weather bulletin issued by the IMD, Mumbai recorded a maximum temperature of 28.8 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 25.0 degrees Celsius. The city received 19 mm of rainfall during the 24-hour period ending at 8.30 am on Monday. The Santacruz observatory recorded a maximum temperature of 29.9 degrees Celsius, a minimum of 23.5 degrees Celsius, and 10 mm of rainfall during the same period.
