One worker was killed and another injured after a heap of soil and gravel collapsed at a construction site near a flyover on the Pune-Solapur National Highway in Rajwadi village, Indapur taluka, on Friday morning, officials said.

The accident took place at around 10 am while work on a roadside embankment was underway. Three workers were present at the site when the heap suddenly gave way. One worker managed to escape, while the other two were trapped under the debris.
