A 30-year-old construction labourer committed suicide by setting himself ablaze after killing his wife and three minor children by poisoning them in the wee hours of Thursday. The incident took place at Jalaki Vasti in Lokmanaya Nagar, Kothrud.

The deceased were identified as Parshuram Madiappa Kalkanthi, his wife Jamuna (25) and their children Payal (7), Manisha (5) and Karan (3).u00a0Officials from Kothrud police station recovered Jamuna and Payal from their residence, while Parshuram, Manisha and Karan’s bodies were found at a dumping ground, just 100 metres away from the slum.u00a0
