Three civilians were shot dead by the Maoists in Chhattisgarh's restive Bastar district on charges of being informers, police said.

"Maoists stormed into Pattegaon village in Bastar Sunday late night and took away four people. The bullet-ridden bodies of three of them were found in a forest Monday," Pankaj Chandra, additional superintendent of police, told reporters.
