Activist Manoj Jarange’s indefinite hunger strike over the Maratha reservation issue entered its fifth day on Wednesday, with doctors raising concerns over his health as the Jalna district administration appealed to him to end the fast.

Jarange has been fasting at Antarwali Sarati in Maharashtra’s Jalna district since August 29, demanding reservation for the Maratha community and immediate issuance of Kunbi certificates based on gazette records, among other demands.
