New Delhi: In a major revelation in the infamous Dadri lynching case, the report submitted by the chief veterinary officer said that the meat found in the victim&rsquo;s house was mutton and not beef.

The veterinary officer in his report said, &ldquo;Prima facie it seems that meat found in Dadri lynching victim&rsquo;s house belongs to goat progeny.&rdquo;
The report also said that samples have been taken for final diagnosis, and have been sent to the forensic laboratory in Mathura.
The report comes less than a week after the Gautambudh Nagar Police charged 15 people, including a minor, in this case.
Akhlaq (50) was killed and his son Danish (20) was beaten by a mob after rumours spread that the family had consumed and stored beef in their house at Bishara village in Dadri on September 28.
