Veteran journalist J Dey, who was allegedly shot dead by Chhota Raajan's sharpshooters, was awarded with the Prem Bhatia Memorial Journalism award in the Capital on Thursday.

Shubha Sharma, the wife of the deceased, and Sachin Kalbagh, executive editor of MiD DAY received the award on behalf of J Dey.
The ceremony was held at India International Center and the occasion was marked with the speech of National Security Advisor Shiv Shankar Menon.
