The new black-and-yellow cabs don't display their For-Hire sign prominently enough, complain commuters
With the campaign well into its second week, commuters are now complaining about the new model black-and-yellow taxis not showing the For-hire sign prominently.u00a0
"Like old taxi models have meters to indicate when is the taxi available for hire, or off duty, most of the new model taxis lack it. They take advantage of the same. I have been refused many times by such drivers saying they are off duty. You can never tell if their reason is genuine," said Lokesh Gupta, a commuter.

The first day of the campaign at Sion came as a shock to taxi drivers. They pleaded and argued with the cops and were adamant not to accept the fines levied on them. Nawab Ali who was caught for refusing an elderly lady carrying a baby complained, "I was only stopping another taxi for her as I was in the taxi stand queue, and there was a free cab on the road. The police just won't listen to me."
