Moderate polling was recorded in the first four hours of voting in the second phase of UP Assembly polls, with only 19 per cent of the total 1.92 crore electorate exercising their franchise amidst stray incidents of violence.

In Dakshin Tola area in Mau district, police used force when a large number of people gathered outside a polling station indulged in unruly behaviour. Unconfirmed reports said six persons were injured in the firing.
