At least 100 girls in Jharkhand’s Garhwa district fell ill after allegedly drinking water from the overhead storage tank of a government school. The incident occurred on Friday at the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya located in Kharaundhi block.
Students complained of severe stomach aches, vomiting, and headaches after drinking water that reportedly became scalding hot in plastic rooftop tanks. Following the incident, the authorities have suspended the warden, a teacher, and the cook.
