If the transport experts from the city are to be believed, then the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) seems to be in a mood for wasting public money. <img alt="" src="/imagedata/2012/apr/print_2.jpg" /> MiD DAY&rsquo;s report on March 28 Tenders invited Despite realising that the proposed Bandra-Dahisar elevated road project would be overlapping with the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority&rsquo;s (MMRDA) Charkop-Bandra-Mankhurd (CBM) corridor, MSRDC has invited tenders for the appointment of consultants.u00a0The appointed consultants will not only prepare a detailed project report after undertaking a techno-feasibility survey, but will also give suggestions on the kind of financial model to be selected for the implementation of this project. Expertspeak Jitendra Gupta, a transport expert, said, &ldquo;When it is clear that it is extremely difficult to construct an elevated corridor between Bandra and Dahisar, as the CBM is also coming along the same line, then I don&rsquo;t know why the MSRDC is wasting public money on appointing consultants to do a feasibility study.&rdquo; Despite repeated attempts, the MSRDC officials remained unavailable for comment.
