Yesterday, the Charkop police arrested a 23-year-old man for allegedly throwing a 20-year-old woman from the 15th floor of Triveni apartment, a high-rise. Earlier, the cops had registered an accidental death report, assuming the victim had committed suicide after her body was found in the building compound at around 6.30 pm on May 24. The CCTV footage of the society has revealed that the accused took the woman to the terrace and even assaulted her. However, the cops are yet to determine whether he pushed her off the terrace. The deceased woman, Semmi Prasad, who lived on the 15th floor, and accused Kanaiya Singh, who lived on the fifth floor of the same building, worked at a call centre.
