Faroma feast Last September, Foodfeasts app and website was launched to cater to users craving the best of the city&rsquo;s iconic dishes right from Mucchad&rsquo;s paan to Rama Nayak&rsquo;s idlis, in the comfort of their homes.

Now, its founders have upped their game with a dynamic delivery system, which generates a minimum order and delivery charge depending on the distance.
It has a new name too &mdash; Faroma. &ldquo;We launch tomorrow; the list has new entrants such as Tawakkal Sweets of Mohammed Ali Road, Cafe Madras and Bhojohori Manna, apart from the existing Jimmy Boy, Sarvi and Parsi Dairy Farm,&rdquo; says co-founder Devendra Kamtekar. With a minimum order of R60, it&rsquo;s not heavy on your pocket too. Yum.
Baba and his floating claims A host of workshops and live sessions across Mumbai are an indication of the yoga boom; this one, however, will be yoga with a difference. Or, will it? Lokhandwala resident Baba Balram, guru is all set to perform yoga on water at the MIG Club in Bandra (E), tomorrow at 7 am.

Balram is going to be doing the Padmasan, Garudasan, Shavasan, Vriksasana and Tadasan in water, while those who attend will practice these on terra firma. Rationalist Arvind Paranjpye, director Nehru Planetarium, expressed his scepticism at the idea.
He said, &ldquo;Certain yoga postures like Shavasan are possible to do on water as one lies on the back and the lungs are filled with air. But a posture like Tadasan on water is impossible.&rdquo; Balram though has said that he has been doing yoga in a swimming pool, but this is the first time he will perform in public.
The Shivaji Park Marathon Club (SPMC) has organised this session. This runners&rsquo; club wanted the event closer home at the Shivaji Park swimming pool (or MGMO, to give it its correct name), but there was a glitch &mdash; its pools are without water. Former Indian cricketer, and vice president of Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA), had been chosen as the new chairman of the National Institute of fashion Technology (NIFT). The news surprised many from the fashion fraternity, as they voiced their concern over this not-so-sporting hiring.

Celebrating Akbar Padamsee A couple of months ago, Priyasri Gallery had organised an exhibition titled, Where the Line Falls, featuring 101 monochrome works of celebrated Indian artist Akbar Padamsee.

Art fans will be happy to learn that the book is now available for pre-order and expected to launch anytime between August and September. The book looks at 88-year-old Padamsee&rsquo;s works, his life and inspirations. We can&rsquo;t wait to book a copy.
