An official from the Mumbai Fire Brigade was found guilty of passing a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to a builder without taking the appropriate measures.
While the Supreme Court’s order clearly indicates that the distance between two buildings should be 6 meters, a plan of an under construction building on Ranade road at Matunga reached the temporary officer in charge of that division, Shashikant Kale, who passed the NOC.
