Mumbai Police Commissioner Satyapal Singh has asserted that the website -- www.mumbaipolice.org -- would soon be accessible for all disabled including hearing impaired, visually impaired and multiple disabled.
The Mumbai Police website would soon be upgraded to enable disabled persons to easily access it, thereby making it the first-of-its-kind site with such technology in India, having about 70 million disabled persons.
With the active support of NASSCOM and Barrier Break Technologies, the Mumbai police website will be made disabled friendly. The website will conform to international standards like Web Content Accessibility Guideline2.0, police said.
