Newly appointed BJP national working president Nitin Nabin on Monday termed his elevation as a blessing of the party. The newly appointed party chief also claimed that the BJP is the only political outfit that allows its grassroots workers to thrive.

Nitin Nabin, while thanking the party for providing him this opportunity, also praised the BJP's leadership for the trust reposed in him before he left for Delhi.

While leaving for the airport here from his residence, Nitin Nabin said, "The BJP not only promotes youths but also guides and curates them to achieve larger goals. It is the only party that allows its grassroots workers to thrive," as cited by news agency PTI.

Nitin also urged other party workers to work patiently to strengthen the organisation. Earlier in the day, Nabin, who is Bihar's PWD minister, also pledged that he will carry forward the work of his late father and former BJP MLA Nabin Kishor Prasad Sinha.

Before leaving for New Delhi, the BJP leader also paid floral tributes to a statue of his father at a park in Patna.

While praising the ideologies of his father, Nitin Nabin said, "I have always worked on the ideas of my father, who considered the party as his mother and prioritised the nation over everything. I think that is the reason the party has blessed me with this opportunity to continue working with BJP workers," as reported by news agency PTI.

After he was announced as the national working president of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Nabin also visited Patna's Mahavir Mandir to offer prayers.

Nitin Nabin was appointed as the national working president of the BJP on Sunday and is likely to eventually succeed JP Nadda as its national president, signalling a generational shift in the ruling party.

The BJP leader from Bihar also expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and praised his leadership.

Nitin Nabin hails PM Modi

While hailing the Prime Minister, he asserted, "Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, development has reached every town and village of the country. At the same time, the Bharatiya Janata Party has also expanded its footprint and stands today as the party of the poor," as cited by news agency PTI.

Nabin further emphasised that "No class in India today is left untouched" by the development schemes of the NDA government.” He claimed that PM Modi has taken the idea of 'Antyodaya' to every nook and corner of the country.

Nabin also added, "Antyodaya was pioneered by personalities like Deendayal Upadhyaya and Syama Prasad Mookerjee and promoted by Atal Bihari Vajpayee."

On the question of the party's strategy for the West Bengal elections, he said, "Be it Bengal, Assam or Uttar Pradesh, our party workers are always ready. This is the beauty of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Others work during elections, but BJP karyakartas work 24x7, "as reported by news agency PTI.
