You can wave goodbye to that summer vacation if agents make good their threat to strike on April 20 if their demands for reinstatement of agent commissions are not met. The decision was taken after airline majors rejected demands made by the Director General Of Civil Aviation (DGCA ) and travel agents for agents to receive a 5% to 9% cut on sales of tickets. Currently, 14 foreign carriers, most of them European and US airlines, do not pay any commission to travel agents.
