Notice issued to school accused of fleecing underprivileged children

Pune Municipal Corporation's Education board has issued a notice to SV Union Primary School located in Somvar Peth for illegally charging fees from 45 students, whose admissions had been carried out under the 25 per cent quota for Right To Education (RTE) Act.

“Yes we have issued a notice to the school and given them seven days to reply. I don’t want to speak further on the issue,” said Shivaji Daundkar, head of the civic body’s education department.u00a0
When contacted SV Union Primary School’s secretary Nagrajan said, “I am not aware of any such notice. So I don’t want to say anything about this.”
