Bengaluru: Congress-Janata Dal (Secular)-controlled city civic body BBMP has become the latest civic body to ban sale of meat within its limits on the day of Ganesha Chaturthi on September 17.
The Joint Director (Animal Husbandry) has banned slaughtering of animals and sale of meat in the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) limits on September 17, 2015 on account of Ganesha Chaturthi, BBMP said in a release today.
