New Delhi: Following the controversy over General (Retd.) V K Singh’s ‘dog’ remark, BJP spokesman Sidharth Nath Singh yesterday said the opposition tries to turn non-issues into issues for its political benefit. He pointed out that the controversy continues even after Singh, MoS for External Affairs, apologised for making the statement.

‘V K Singh has clarified and apologised for his statement. These are all sensitive matters and let us not make politics out of it and try to turn a non-issue into an issue to serve the political benefits of the opposition,” Singh said.
