Six employees of a private mining company were abducted by unidentified armed men in the Shaban Dilwani Mari area on Wednesday, authorities said, as security forces launched an operation to trace the kidnappers.

Officials said the workers were carrying out routine duties at the mining site when armed assailants arrived, held them at gunpoint, and forced them into an unknown location before fleeing the scene.
