Palande and Sood may be involved in match-fixing racket

After arresting small-time model Simran Sood and her accomplice Vijay Palande for abducting Delhi-based Karan Kakkad on Friday, the Amboli police are now contemplating whether the duo was also involved in a match-fixing racket. The police also found that Kakkad had been dealing with bookies and betting money on cricket matches. The bookies referred to him as ‘Prince’. On Friday, the Amboli police registered a kidnapping complaint against Karan Sood alias Vijay Palande, and his associates Sood, Manoj Jadhav and Ganesh Shinde after Kakkad’s brother, Hanish Kakkad, identified them accompanying Kakkad in a CCTV recording after the media flashed Palande’s name in the Oshiwara murder case. The police are also trying to find whether Sood and Palande, along with Jadhav and Shinde, killed Kakkad.u00a0
