Parents of children found dead days after they went missing from the ashram of self-proclaimed godman Asaram Bapu, staged protests and demanded justice from the Gujarat Government on Monday.
Kalyan Singh, one of the protesters, said, "My two children were killed, but the state government had deceived us in the name of filing a complaint against Asaram. Today, we are fasting against this decision of the state government of Gujarat, which is blindly believing Asaram. We would like to urge the government to pay heed to the plight of the people."
Two young boys, who were enrolled at a school that was a part of Asaram's ashram, were found dead after they went missing from his ashram at Motera in 2008.
