The heated debate in the Lok Sabha continued to be more intense as time passed. After Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Amit Shah’s address in the Lok Sabha, Opposition leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra went ahead to launch a scathing attack on the government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
As soon as the senior leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday got her chance to speak, she said, “Leadership is not just about taking credit but also taking responsibility, and claimed that US President Donald Trump announcing the ceasefire between India and Pakistan reflects the PM's "irresponsibility," according to a PTI report.
Participating in a special discussion in the Lok Sabha on "India's strong, successful, and decisive Operation Sindoor in response to the terror attack in Pahalgam," the Congress MP also stated that the Home Minister Amit Shah talked about Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, and even her mother's tears but did not answer "why the war was halted at a time when the enemy had nowhere to go."
The Congress MP further said that "Leadership is not just about taking credit, but responsibility also needs to be taken. For the first time in the history of our country, the war was stopped abruptly, and the announcement of the decision was made by the US President. This is reflective of the irresponsibility of our prime minister", the PTI report added.
Amid the ongoing debate on Operation Sindoor in the lower house of the Parliament, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also stated, "Leadership is not just about taking credit, but responsibility also needs to be taken... First time this happened that the war was stopped abruptly and the announcement of the decision was done by the US President. This shows the irresponsibility of our prime minister...our diplomacy has been unsuccessful."
She further asked whether it is not the responsibility of the PM, the Home Minister, the Defence Minister, and the National Security Advisor to ensure people's security.
Priyanka slammed the government by asking, "Did the government not know thousands of tourists go to Baisaran Valley... why was there no security there? Why they were left at God's mercy," the PTI report concluded.
Was no government agency in the know that such a dastardly terror attack was going to happen and a plot was being hatched in Pakistan? she asked.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also highlighted that. "It is a big failure of our government and intelligence agencies. Who will take responsibility for this? Has anyone resigned? They keep talking about the past, but who will answer about what is happening in the present?" she said.
