BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi said here today that people are keenly awaiting the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, since they want the present government's rule to end quickly.
"Ever since the time I began knowing and understanding politics and polls, this is the first time that the common man is eagerly waiting Lok Sabha elections in 2014," Modi said at a function organised to felicitate his elevation on his 64th birthday. "This time, the discussions have been begun by the common man. They want polls to be held as soon as possible.u00a0
The entire country is in a hurry for elections and waiting for this government to go soon. In India, I'm seeing so much hatred and dislike for any elected government for the first time," he said. Modi said that there's a desire for change in the country and that people strongly believe that the present situation of the country just cannot be allowed to prevail for long. He compared the common man waiting for general elections, like people waiting for rains in a hot and humid month like June. "It is like waiting for rains in a hot and humid month of June.
