Chennai : Prime Minister Narendra Modi today condoled the death of carnatic musician U Srinivas and recalled the mandolin maestro's long-standing contribution to music.

"The Prime Minister expressed grief on the passing away of renowned musician Shri Uppalapu Shrinivas," his official Twitter handle, @PMOIndia said.
