Development works sanctioned by Vaishali Bankar stopped after her successor allegedly complained that she had used up mayoral funds
In a major development, the civic administration has abruptly stopped development works worth Rs 1 crore initiated under the mayoral funds allotted to the former mayor of the city. Vaishali Bankar had sanctioned the projects in the last phase of her tenure, using the funds allotted to her as part of the budgetary provision.

PMC sources claim Mayor Chanchala Kodre (right) played a role in influencing the civic administration’s decision to scrap developmental projects sanctioned by her predecessor Vaishali Bankar during the fag end of her tenure . File pic
