Pic/Vivek Sabnis</span></p></td></tr></tbody></table>A Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) worker was severely injured when two people turned on him with a knuckle-duster in the wee hours today.<br /><br />The injured man, Sharad Vasant Jadhav, a Class IV employee of the PMC working at Dahanukar Colony in Kothrud, identified his assailants as Sumit Dnyaneshwar Mane and his brother Amit.<br /><br />Jadhav sustained injuries on his chest, arm, nose and lips. He was admitted to Sassoon hospital.<br /><br />Jadhav said he was woken up about 1 am at his home in Ganesh Nagar on Paud Road by the Manes, who started attacking him with a knuckle-duster. <br /><br />Jadhav said his attackers threatened him with dire consequences if he approached the police. <br /><br />The Kothrud police said they were investigating the incident after filing a case of assault against the Mane brothers.
