Police suspect farmer was shot by outsiders
Updated On: 14 November, 2012 09:41 AM IST | | Sandip Kolhatkar
Sangli police officials suspect someone else may have shot 33-year-old Chandrakant Nalawade, a farmer from Vasagade village in Sangli district, who died on Monday. They also rubbished the allegations, levelled by Nalawade's family members, that police had killed him.
“There is a possibility that Nalawade was killed in the firing by some people from a Sumo car. The ballistic report will confirm whether he was killed by a police bullet or someone else’s bullet,” Superintendent of Police of Sangli Dilip Sawant said.
