Rajesh Shantaram Yadav (24) alias Rajaram, a political activist, was attacked by some youths on Wednesday evening. The incident happened when Yadav, a resident of Dhanakavabi's 'Five star' society, intervened in a fight between two groups over an incident of street sexual harassment.u00a0

On Wednesday, when two girls were returning home from nearby Ambegaon Pathar, four men ufffd Suraj Sabale, Sagar Pawar, Avinash Pawar ufffd and their accomplices passed lewd remarks.

Chaghubhai Kamble (45), a girl's relative went to confrontu00a0 them leading to a fight. Immediately, Kamble's daughter contacted Yadav for help.u00a0 Yadav was gheraoed by the gang and stabbed by a sharp weapon.

Senior police inspector of Haveli police station, said, "We shifted Yadav to Bharti Vidyapeeth hospital where he was declared dead on admission."
