New Delhi: As monsoon session of the Parliament commences, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday introduced his Council of Ministers in the Rajya Sabha. PM Modi read out the name of the ministers along with their portfolios.
It is a customary practice for the Prime Minister to introduce his Council of Ministers after the new government takes over.
Besides Modi, the Union Cabinet for the 17th Lok Sabha includes 24 Cabinet ministers, 9 Ministers of State (MoS) with independent charge and 24 Ministers of State.On Wednesday, Modi introduced his Council of Ministers in Lok Sabha.
PM Modi in an all-party meeting on Wednesday said that a committee will be formed to look into the various issues regarding the "one nation, one election" plan. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh told this to the media after the conclusion of the meeting which lasted for over three-and-a-half hours.

Singh said that five major agendas were discussed in the meeting, including the "one nation, one election" agenda. He said that members of all the opposition parties present at the meeting supported the idea barring the CPI and CPI-M.

"Only CPI and CPI-M expressed a difference of opinion, saying how it could be implemented," the Defence Minister said. Over 40 parties were invited for the meeting in which 21 party chiefs participated while three expressed their inability to join the meeting citing some reasons, Singh added.

Zee TV producer died of drowning in Aarey pond, reveals primary report The primary report on the cause of death of the senior producer at Zee TV, Sohan Chauhan on Sunday, has revealed drowning. His last rites were performed on Monday in the presence of his wife, brother and other relatives. The family has made no complaint, the police said. During the investigation, the cops from Aarey police station checked CCTV footage in which he was seen coming out of the lift around 3.45am on Sunday. He had a bottle of Thums Up in one hand.
