Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao has declared public holiday today for voting for Assembly election.

A statement quoting Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said, "As the Governor has got direct administrative powers thanks to President's rule in the state, he was requested to declare public holiday for voting for assembly election."
